There are a lot of ideas that one thinks about when considering the common bicycle. Many of these ideas include legendary racers, shared beliefs, and frequent problems with which we can all relate. However, wrapped up inside of all these ideas is the simple and imaginative concept of the bicycle. This tangible machine is supported by a simple idea which goes beyond what can be ridden; these kinds of simple ideas are malleable and can be interpreted differently by each rider and yet still be based on the same basic thought. Whether it be the notion of saving the environment or the desire to save a few dollars; the drive to be the best at something or be better than you were the year before; the sense of community felt on a saturday morning group ride or the roar of the crowd.
These things all have a common denominator. Whether you ride on single tracks, bike lanes, sidewalks, streets, pine panels, through the mud, or in the back yard, these are the things that bring it together. The things that cyclists do. We plan to bring these ideas, the informative and inspirational, into an easy to read and easy to access corner of the web. Mainly so that you can enjoy it but also because we want you to share within the community what it means to be a cyclist.
